Temple is located in Lopburi province very close to Singburi border. What absolutely fascinates me to the temple is the unusual ordination hall. The ordination hall is particularly notable for its golden base, that seems like the god put the ordination hall on a pedestal tray.

I recommend walking up stairs to the ordination hall. You will fall in love with the surrounding atmosphere and feel the cool breeze touching your face that makes you relax!. Spending your time walking around the ordination hall, you can see the head of white Buddha statue (Somdej Luangpho Tokotama Chayathonburi) and the big golden stupa.

But unfortunately, many buildings in the temple are closed, including the golden stupa situated behind the ordination hall. And I am not sure when the temple will reopen, perhaps after COVID-19.

Besides the ordination hall, you will also see the big Buddha statue, named "Somdej Luangpho Tokotama Chayathonburi". The Buddha statue sits on a large square base, which is coverted into a room. And the room is decorated with a black statue, that is called "Rahu god". It is the Hindu god of Darkness.

In gerneral, you will find the Rahu statue swallowing the sun or the moon in Buddhist temples. Most thai people believe Rahu god can help them. However, on the other hand, Rahu god can drive them into a difficult situation.

Whoever seeks help from Rahu god will offers eight black items to Rahu god such as black food, black drinks, black flower garlands etc.

วัดบางพาน

วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ อ.ท่าวุ้ง จ.ลพบุรี แต่ใน Google Maps ระบุพิกัดผิดพลาดว่าเป็นจังหวัดสิงห์บุรี เพราะว่าเป็นเขตติดต่อที่อยู่ห่างกันไม่ถึง 2 กม จึงให้ทำเกิดความสับสัน

เป็นอีกวัดนึงที่เรารู้สึกประทับใจตั้งแต่ครั้งแรกที่มา สิ่งที่แปลกตาก็คือ อุโบสถที่ถูกสร้างให้เหมือนอยู่บนพานทอง และ พระพุทธรูปสีขาวองค์ใหญ่ มีนามว่า "สมเด็จหลวงพ่อโตโคตมะ ชยธนบุรี" ตั้งอยู่บนฐานสี่เหลี่ยม ซึ่งภายในฐานสี่เหลี่ยมถูกดัดแปลงให้เป็นห้องโถง และด้านหน้าห้องโถงนั้นถูกตกแต่งด้วยรูปปั้นเทพราหูสีดำ ช่างดูงดงามและแปลกตาดีจริง แต่น่าเสียดายที่อุโบสถและห้องโถงใต้องค์พระใหญ่ยังไม่มีการไม่เปิดให้เข้าชม

บริเวณหลังอุโบสถ มีเจดีย์สีทองขนาดใหญ่ ซึ่งสามารถมองเห็นได้จากระยะไกล แต่ก็ยังปิดปรับปรุงอยู่ ส่วนด้านข้างอุโบสถมีศาลาหลังเล็กๆ ประดิษฐานรูปหล่อองค์ยืนของหลวงพ่อจรัญ วัดอัมพวัน

ที่วัดนี้ค่อนข้างกว้าง เราเห็นทางวัดกำลังก่อสร้างอาคารและพระพุทธรูปเพิ่มขึ้นอีก เพื่อนๆ สามารถแวะมาเที่ยวได้นะคะ แต่ไม่สามารถเข้าไปในอุโบสถ เจดีย์ ฯลฯ ได้ เนื่องจากยังปิดปรับปรุงช่วงโควิด
