Wat Chedi Klangtung or Wat Phra Keaw is just 3km from Wat Phranon Chaksri. There is a short iron fence at the temple entrance, you need to open and close the fence by yourself, in order to protect dogs and horses from escaping. Before you get out of your car, becareful of dog! 

When you enter the temple, you will see a white building on the left. This building is much newer than other buildings in the temple. It enshrines the big Buddha protected by a seven-headed naga. 

I think it was built as the ordination hall, but I couldn't find boundary stones surrounding it. It looks like that its construction has not been finished yet, and is still far from finished. 

I said like this because many buildings in the temple look very old like an abandoned temple, including a building where monks reside.

Next one is a one-story building without a back wall, where you can see a big stupa through its space. It's a bell-shaped stupa, 35 meters high. We believe it was built in The Sukhothai period, and restored around 1983.

It's said that local people saw a long line of golden light from the top of the stupa, while someone saw big snakes around the stupa.

วัดเจดีย์กลางทุ่ง

วัดนี้มีอีกชื่อนึงคือ "วัดพระแก้ว" วัดอยู่ห่างจาก วัดพระนอนจักรสีห์ แค่ 3 กม. หน้าวัดจะมีประตูรั้วเหล็กเตี้ยๆ เราต้องเดินลงไป เปิดเและปิดประตูเอง เนื่องจากวัดเลี้ยงม้า ม้าอาจวิ่งออกมาด้านนอก

เมื่อเข้าไปด้านในวัด ด้านซ้ายมือจะมีอาคารสีขาว ซึ่งเป็นอาคารที่ดูใหม่ที่สุดในวัด ภายในมีพระพุทธรูปนาคปรกขนาดใหญ่ เราคิดว่าเขาน่าจะสร้างเป็นอุโบสถนะ แต่หาใบเสมอไม่เจอ และดูเหมือนว่ายังสร้างไม่เสร็จ น่าจะติดปัญหาเรื่องเงิน เพราะอาคารด้านในวัดรวมถึงที่พักสงฆ์ดูเหมือนวัดร้างเลย

ส่วนทางด้านขวามือ จะมีอาคารเก่าๆ ซึ่งมีผนังปูนซ้ายขวา ส่วนผนังปูนด้านหลังพังไปแล้ว ภายในมีพระพุทธรูปอยู่ไม่กี่องค์ ด้านหลังอาคารนี้ คือเจดีย์ ตั้งอยู่กลางทุ่งเลย 

เจดีย์ทรงระฆังคว่ำ สูงประมาณ 35 เมตร สันนิษฐานว่าสร้างตั้งแต่ สมัยสุโขทัย เจดีย์ได้รับการบูรณะใหม่ราวปี พ.ศ.2526 เล่ากันว่าสมัยก่อนมีคนเห็นแสงสีทองพุ่งออกมาจากยอดเจดีย์ แล้วมีคนเห็นงูยักษ์อยู่บริเวณรอบๆ เจดีย์ ปัจจุบันนี้ก็ยังมีชาวบ้านพบเห็นกันอยู่นะคะ

แต่ก่อนจะเดินไปสำรวจสิ่งต่างๆ ในวัด ให้ดูหมาด้วยนะ มันดุ เมื่อมาถึงวัดให้ขับรถตรงเข้าไปจนสุดทาง เราจะเห็นอาคารเก่าสีขาว-ชมพู ด้านหน้ามีคอกม้า ให้เดินเข้าไปบอกหลวงพ่อก่อนว่าจะเข้ามาถ่ายรูป
