It's another temple, always overlooked by travellers. The temple is actually located in Chainat, very close to the Singburi border (only 600m). And you know, even Google map maker mislabels the boundary line, that makes a lot of travellers confused.

The temple is between Mueang Boran Ban Khu Mueang and Wat Nong Soom. The three places aren't far apart from one another, so you should visit them all if you have time left.

The temple is full of big trees and plants that gives the feeling of being in nature. Once you step into the temple compound, you will fall in love with nature and want to be here longer.

Interesting things

1.Stainless steel building, called Barame Phraputthachao ha phraong, literally translates as "the prestige of five Buddhas". Inside the building, you will see 5 carved Buddha statues standing out on the blue background.

2.Stone inscriptions tell about the Buddha's teachings.

3.A replica of the Ashoka column with four lions marks the golden age of Buddhism in India.

4.A replica of the Dongkasiri cave (Dungeshwari Cave) is believed to be where the Lord Buddha meditated for several years.

5.The open-air dome is among lots of tall trees.

6.Learn Dhamma teachings through monkey statues. Usually, we see a group of three monkeys : the first one covering its eyes, another one its ears, and the other its mouth.

The three monkeys are telling you not to pay attention to what is around you, while you're making meditation. That is the key to focusing your mind during meditation.

วัดสวนธรรมรักษา

วัดนี้เป็นอีกวัดนึงที่เรารู้สึกประทับใจตั้งแต่ครั้งแรกที่มาเลย วัดนี้เริ่มสร้างในปี 2544 ตั้งอยู่ ต.โพธิ์งาม อ.สรรคบุรี จ.ชัยนาท ช่วงแรกเราสับสนว่าวัดนี้อยู่ที่ จ.สิงห์บุรี หรือ จ.ชัยนาท ท่านเจ้าอาวาสวัด (หลวงพ่อ อริโยภิกขุ) บอกกับเราว่า วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ จ.ชัยนาท ห่างจากเขตแดนสิงห์บุรี ไปแค่ 600 เมตร แต่ Google maps ระบุพิกัดผิดพลาด

วัดนี้อยู่ห่างจาก วัดหนองสุ่ม (หลวงพ่อจวน) แค่ 3 กม. และห่างจาก เมืองโบราณบ้านคูเมือง แค่ 1.7 กม. วัดนี้เป็นวัดป่าอย่างแท้จริง อาจารย์ของหลวงพ่ออริโยภิกขุ เป็นลูกศิษย์ของพระสายหลวงปู่มั่น ท่านฉันข้าววันละมื้อเท่านั้น

ภายในวัดร่มรื่นมาก มีต้นไม้เต็มวัดไปหมด โดยเฉพาะต้นไม้ใหญ่ที่อยู่รอบวัด หลวงพ่อใช้เวลาปลูกถึง 20 ปี และขณะนี้ก็กำลังปลูกต้นไม้เพิ่มอีกหลายสิบต้น ซึ่งเป็นต้นไม้ที่พระพุทธเจ้านั่งทำสมาธิก่อนตรัสรู้ ใกล้ๆ กับบริเวณที่ปลูกต้นไม้คือ แอ่งน้ำขนาดใหญ่ (ดูคล้ายกับชายหาดเลย)

สิ่งที่น่าสนใจภายในวัด ได้แก่

1.อาคารที่สร้างโดยใช้วัสดุสแตนเลส ชื่อว่า "บารมีพระพุทธเจ้า 5 พระองค์" ภายในตกแต่งอย่างสวยงาม อากาศปลอดโปร่ง มีพระพุทธรูปแกะสลัก 5 องค์ วางบนแท่นติดกับผนัง

2.แท่นหิน (ดูคล้ายหลักศิลาจารึก) ส่วนใหญ่จะจารึกหลักคำสอนของพระพุทธเจ้า

3.เสาอโศก (จำลอง) เป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความรุ่งเรืองของพระพุทธศาสนาในอินเดีย

4.ถ้ำดงคสิริ (จำลอง) ซึ่งภายในมีพระพุทธรูปที่ทรงบำเพ็ญทุกรกิริยา เมื่อเข้าไปในถ้ำให้เปิดไฟนะคะ เราจะเห็นภาพนูนต่ำที่ผนังถ้ำ ซึ่งเป็นภาพที่เกี่ยวกับพระพุทธเจ้า

5.อาคารโดมสแตนเลส ที่เปิดโล่งทั้ง 4 ด้าน เราชอบมากเลย เพราะรอบๆ อาคารมีแต่สีเขียวของต้นไม้

6.พระพุทธรูปต่างๆ เช่น พระนาคปรกบนแท่นยกสูง พระปิดตา พระนอน ฯลฯ

7.รูปปั้นลิงบนเสาปูน ลิงปิดหู ปิดตา ปิดปาก และลิงแบกโลก ถ้าไม่อยากแบกโลกก็อย่าไปรับรู้อะไรมากนัก ส่วนด้านหลังลิงคือ พระพุทธรูป (จำลอง) ที่หลวงพ่ออริโยภิกขุ ท่านได้ไปสร้างพระพุทธรูปองค์ใหญ่ไว้ที่ เมืองโบราณบ้านคูเมือง
