In my point of view, this is the place you can see the best example of Phra mondop in Singburi. Phra mondop is a square building with a pyramidal roof, where you will see the Buddha's footprint and the Buddha's relics as well.

Inside Phra mondop, you will see the Buddha's footprint from the Rattanakosin period, that is surrounded by four columns. Each colum is decorated in Thai pattern, that is called "Thepphanom" - the deity in adoration pattern.

You will notice that there are some coins on the Buddha's footprint. As Thai beliefs, putting coins on the holy object like this is offering the coins to the Buddha, that would bring good luck to them.

As for the Buddha's relics, they are kept under the ceiling. In Buddhism, the Buddha's relics are considered as the most sacred objects. Therefore, all Buddhist people always keep the relics under the ceiling or the top part of a room.

วัดกุฎีทอง

วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ ต.บางน้ำเชี่ยว อ.พรหมบุรี เป็นหนึ่งในสามวัดที่มี ชุมชนชาวไทพวน อาศัยอยู่ใน จ.สิงห์บุรี สำหรับข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับชาวไทยพวน และประเพณีกวนข้าวทิพย์ - ประเพณีกำฟ้า ให้ไปอ่านที่ วัดอุตะมะพิชัย

สิ่งปลูกสร้างในวัด ได้แก่ อุโบสถ, พระพรหมสี่หน้า ซึ่งประดิษฐานอยู่ในศาลาโดม, รูปหล่อขนาดใหญ่ของหลวงพ่อจรัญ และมณฑป

สำหรับเรา สิ่งที่โดดเด่นของวัดนี้ มีเพียงมณฑป เท่านั้นนะ เป็นมณฑปที่ดูสวยสุดใน จ.สิงห์บุรี ภายในมณฑปบรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุไว้บนยอด และมีรอยพระบาทจำลอง กับเสา 4 ต้น ซึ่งเสาแต่ละต้นมีลวดลายเทพพนม

หมายเหตุ :

อาคารไม้ชั้นเดียว อยู่ติดกับวัดและโรงเรียน คือ พิพิธภัณฑ์ที่จัดแสดงของใช้ของชาวไทพวน แต่เราไม่เคยเข้าไปข้างในนะ เพราะหาเบอร์โทรคนที่ดูแลพิพิธภัณฑ์ไม่ได้ และอีกอย่างทางวัดไม่ได้ดูแลในส่วนนี้ด้วย ดังนั้นทางวัดจึงไม่สามารถเปิดให้เข้าชมได้
