Temple was built in 1867, which isn't far from Singburi Bus Terminal. It's only a 15-munite walk from there. But if you don't mind paying a little more, you could take a motorcycle taxi.

An Interesting building in the temple is the ordination hall. It's decorated with floral stucco, that was painted golden and green. The two colors go together well and also contrast with the exterior walls.

The interior walls of the ordination hall were covered with beautiful mural paintings. The paintings show the Buddha's life, Kinnaree (half human half bird) and makkaliphon (a tree in Buddhist mythology).

As for the principal Buddha statue, it's called "Phrapathan Pothi Anchale" that was built in 1938.

Next to the ordination hall is a building with the statue of the abbot, Luang Pho Worn. LP Worn sits at the front of the coin-covered Buddha statue, named Phra Phuttha Rattana Prathanporn.

Within the temple compound - an outdoor gym, a banquet hall for wedding, a small garden.

Monk Biography

Luang Pho Worn is regarded as one of Singburi's most famous monks. So his statue is enshrined in The Singburi City Pillar Shrine. It's 107 years since he passed away, but his story has been told till today.

In the old days, people always said that LP Worn possessed superpowers, and also specialized in using holy water to cure patients.

There was a man, who went to LP Worn for help. He moaned with pain all the time, on the way to the temple. While he was walking through the temple gate, his painful feeling suddenly disappeared. And another one was a drunk man, who sobered up immediately while stepping into the temple.

Another event happened to a woman, who has been selling grill pork skewers in the market in Singburi. She went to the temple, sat in front of LP Worn's statue, and asked him to help her get out of debt. And then something unbelievable happened, she won the first prize.

Luang Pho Worn is the 2nd abbot, who passed away at the age of 72 in 1915. After his death, the temple made amulet coins with his image in order to raise funds for maintaining the temple.

The amulet blessing ceremony was performed on Jan 14,1975 by 12 famous monks in Singburi and neighbouring provinces.

วัดโพธิ์แก้วนพคุณ

วัดนี้สร้างโดย นายพร้อม นพคุณ ในปี พ.ศ.2410 อยู่ใน อ.เมือง ใกล้กับท่ารถสิงห์บุรี

สิ่งที่น่าสนใจในวัดนี้ คือ อุโบสถ ซึ่งตกแต่งอย่างสวยงามด้วย ลวดลายปูนปั้นของดอกไม้โทนสีเขียวสลับทอง และลายเทพนมที่อยู่บริเวณหน้าต่าง

ภายในอุโบสถ ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูป ชื่อว่า "พระประธานโพธิอัญชลี" สร้างในปี พ.ศ.2481 ส่วนภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับ พระพุทธเจ้า กินรี และมักกะลีผล สำหรับใครที่อยากชม มักกะลีผล (ของจริง) ให้ไปที่ วัดพระปรางค์มุนี นะคะ

ศาลาข้างอุโบสถ คือศาลาที่ประดิษฐานรูปปั้นหลวงพ่อวอน อดีตเจ้าอาวาสรูปที่ 2 ของวัด เราจะเห็นรูปปั้นของท่านอยู่ที่ ศาลหลักเมือง ด้วย เพราะท่านเป็นอีกหนึ่งเกจิดังในสิงห์บุรี

นอกจากนี้ที่วัดยังมี ห้องจัดเลี้ยงสำหรับจัดงานมงคล งานแต่ง ซึ่งภายในตกแต่งด้วยเก้าอี้หลุยส์ มีคนเข้ามาขอจัดงานแต่งที่นี่มากมาย และก็มีหลายครั้งที่วัดอื่นมายืมเก้าอี้ของที่นี่ไปใช้ เวลาที่มีบุคคลสำคัญมาเยือนสิงห์บุรี

ส่วนบริเวณรอบวัด เราจะพบศาลเจ้าแม่กวนอิม, สวนหย่อมเล็กๆ ให้นั่งพักผ่อน และยังมีที่ออกกำลังกายอีกด้วยนะ

ประวัติหลวงพ่อวอน

หลวงพ่อวอน ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งเกจิดังของสิงห์บุรี ท่านชำนาญในการรักษาโรค โดยเฉพาะการเป่า พ่น ด้วยน้ำพระพุทธมนต์ สมัยก่อนคนที่เป็นโรคตะมอยตามนิ้ว เดินทางมาที่วัดเพื่อให้หลวงพ่อรักษา เขาปวดมาก และร้องครวญครางมาตลอดทาง พอก้าวขาเข้ามาในบริเวณวัด เขาก็หายปวดทันที ส่วนนักเลงที่เมาสุรา พอเข้ามาบริเวณวัดก็จะหยุดทันที นอกจากนี้สิ่งของต่างๆ ภายในวัด ไม่เคยหายสักชิ้น

คนสิงห์บุรีนับถือท่านมาก ขอยกตัวอย่าง ป้าที่ขายหมูปิ้งในตลาดสิงห์บุรี ป้าถูกหวยรางวัลที่ 1 เพราะมาขอหลวงพ่อวอนนี่ล่ะ ส่วนเราเอง เราก็พบปาฎิหาริย์มากมาย นับตั้งแต่วันแรกที่ลงเก็บประวัติหลวงพ่อจนถึงตอนนี้ เราจัดหัวหมูไปถวายท่าน 2-3 รอบละ และนำเงินไปช่วยวัดอีกด้วยเพราะท่านให้หวยเรา

หลวงพ่อวอนมรณภาพ เมื่ออายุ 72 ปี ในปี พ.ศ.2458 หลังจากที่ท่านมรณภาพ ทางวัดได้มีการจัดทำ เหรียญหลวงพ่อวอน เพื่อนำเงินไปทำนุบำรุงวัด แค่เห็นรายชื่อพระที่มาร่วมปลุกเสกนี่ก็รู้แล้วนะว่า เหรียญของท่านขลังมาก

โดยเหรียญมี 2 แบบ แบบนึงเป็นรูปเต็มองค์ อีกแบบเป็นรูปครึ่งองค์ โดยทำพิธีพุทธาภิเษก ในวันเสาร์ที่ 14 ม.ค. 2518 โดยมีพระเกจิดังที่มาร่วมปลุกเสกด้วย 12 รูป ดังนี้
