Wat Khao Chi Chan is another tourist hotspot in Chonburi, known as Laser Buddha. The area in front of the Buddha image is filled with plants, gardens and a small man-made stream. Now, it becomes a place to chill out. Please note that visitors aren't allowed to climb the hill.

The outline of a Buddha was engraved on the limestone hill by using laser technology. Later, it was inlaid with golden mosaic tiles in oder to help passers-by see it at night. The Buddha image is 130 meters high, including the height of the lotus base - the Buddha itself is 109 meters high. It's a combination of Sukhothai and Lanna arts.

The Laser Buddha was created in 1996, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of King Rama 9's coronation. The king named the Buddha "Buddha Maha Vajira Uttamobhassada".

วัดเขาชีจรรย์

ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งสถานที่ยอดฮิต นอกจากจะได้มาชมพระพุทธรูปแล้ว ยังได้แวะมาพักผ่อน และเดินเล่นออกกำลังกายอีกด้วย ในบริเวณวัด มีร้านขายน้ำ ชา กาแฟ และขนมหลายร้าน ส่วนด้านหน้าองค์พระ ถูกทำเป็นสวนหย่อม พร้อมกับลำธารเล็กๆ 

ในปี พ.ศ.2539 สมเด็จพระญาณสังวร สมเด็จพระสังฆราชสกลมหาสังฆปริณายก ได้ขออนุญาติแกะสลักองค์พระที่หน้าผาของภูเขาหินปูน เพื่อเป็นพระพุทธรูปประจำรัชกาลที่ 9 เนื่องในวโรกาสที่ ร.9 ทรงครอบราชย์ครบ 50 ปี 

ภูเขาหินปูนที่มีรูปองค์พระ จะมีลักษณะเป็นหน้าผาตัด เนื่องจากเคยมีการระเบิดหินเพื่อใช้เป็นวัสดุก่อสร้างมาก่อน ภูเขามีความสูงจากฐานถึงยอด 180 เมตร ส่วนองค์พระและฐานบัว มีความสูง 130 เมตร (องค์พระสูง 109 เมตร ส่วนฐานบัวสูง 21 เมตร)

องค์พระถูกแกะสลักด้วยแสงเลเซอร์ แล้วฝังด้วยกระเบื้องโมเสกสีทอง เป็นพระปางมารวิชัย ศิลปะสุโขทัยผสมล้านนา นามว่า "พระพุทธ มหาวชิร อุตตโมภาสศาสดา แปลว่า พระพุทธเจ้า ทรงเป็นศาสดาที่รุ่งเรือง สว่าง ประเสริฐดุจดังมหาวชิระ"
